Share Smiles has its first mission trip to El Icacal community in La Unión, El Salvador by a group of Central American students who were blessed by the Walton Scholarship to study a university degree in Arkansas.

From 1997 to 2004, Share Smiles continues to work with the community, establishing a strong relationship not only with the students, but also with teachers and parents.
Non-Profit Organization in El Salvadoragosto 10, 2005
In 2005, Share Smiles becomes legally established as a nonprofit organization in El Salvador.
Project Icacalagosto 29, 2005
Also in 2005, Share Smiles launches Project Icacal: A permanent community development program. Its main objective is to graduate students from high school.
Addition of La Leona and Cerro Verdefebrero 5, 2007
In 2007, Share Smiles establishes relationship with La Leona School in La Unión and a community of students at Cerro Verde in Volcanoes National Park in Sonsonate, El Salvador, bringing the total amount of benefited students to 300.
Tour Guides Programjulio 25, 2013
In 2013, Share Smiles inaugurates its Tour Guide Program at Cerro Verde, designed to support a group of students who work as tour guides in order to pay for college.
